米兰国际家具展.世界巡回展纽约站:硕果累累

  第四届米兰国际家具展世界巡回展,于5月17日至20日在美国纽约举行。50家顶端的意大利品牌家具企业来到美国,成为美国特殊展览背景下的一个亮点并重申了“意大利制造”的出口实力。
  本届“米兰国际家具展世界巡回展纽约站——意大利制造家具理念”已经落下帷幕。此巡回展与美国国际当代家具博览会同时在纽约贾维茨(JAVITS)会展中心举办,到访的参观者共25880位再创历史新高。
  I Saloni WorldWide New York: a triumphant result
  The fourth edition of the Saloni WorldWide New York, which took place from 17th to 20th May, took 50 of the top Italian design companies to America, proving itself yet again to be a major event both in that particular exhibi
tion context and in terms of Italy’s exports.
  The fourth edition of the Saloni WorldWide New York – Furnishing Ideas Made in Italy has drawn to a close.  Held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in concomitance with and sharing the same exhibition space as the International Contemporary Furniture Fair, the foremost sectorial event in the United States and North America, there were 25,880 recorded visitors to the event.
  Yet again, the Saloni WorldWide New York have managed to satisfy the mounting interest in contemporary Italian design within the North American market which, despite the ascent of the developing countries and the weakness of the dollar against the European currencies, continues to be the most consistent of all. It is the team spirit and the pulling together of the companies taking part in the event that has characterised and underscored the uniqueness of their products.  It should be pointed out that exports to the USA in some market segments such as Kitchens, Offices and Light Fittings rose during the period January-November 2007 by +25.5%, +32.0% and +3.0% respectively compared with the previous year.
  Buyers, architects, interior decorators, dealers and sectorial operators, not just from America, but also from nearby Canada and Central (El Salvador, Mexico) and South America (Argentina, Brazil), as well as from Africa (Botswana), Asia (China, Korea, The Philippines, Georgia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan), the Middle East (Israel), Oceania (Australia, New Zealand), and Europe (Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey) flocked to the event. For its entire duration, from 17th to 20th May, I Saloni WorldWide’s 3,000 square metres, split into two long aisles running the length of the ICFF exhibition space, stood out easily, not just because of the uniqueness of the
range of goods being exhibited by 50 of the top level sectorial exponents both from a qualitative and from a marketing point of view, but also because of the high visibility of the strongly identifiable and instantly recognisable presentation.
  There was also strong press interest, with 831 journalists representing the leading sectorial publications, not just from America but also from other continents – Asia and Europe.
  Rosario Messina, Chairman of Cosmit and Proprietor of Flou spa together with Manlio Armellini, Cosmit’s Managing Director, declared themselves enormously satisfied with the happy outcome of I Saloni WorldWide, which in only four editions has become the byword for top quality and reliable furnishing systems and the benchmark event under the New York Design Week umbrella.
