Odile Hénault是加拿大新斯科舍省哈利法克斯市的一名设计师,有着丰富的从业经历。她曾经做过建筑师、评论家、编辑、馆长、教师以及专业顾问。1994年,她当选为魁北克省建筑师协会(OAQ)主席。并协助在1990年到2005年间,为魁北克省举办的诸多建筑竞赛建立制度框架。
Hénault女士是位著名的建筑现场讲解员,并在众多报纸及专业杂志上发表过关于建筑及设计的评论文章。1983年,她创办了《Section a》——加拿大最佳建筑杂志之一,并且仅凭个人力量,一直将该杂志办到1986年。在Hénault女士承担的众多委任中,她还曾经在上世纪九十年代初接受魁北克政府的委任,主持魁北克公共艺术规划的工作。
此后,Odile Hénault女士曾在世界上许多城市生活并工作过。比如西班牙的巴塞罗那、哥伦比亚首都波哥达、菲律宾首都马尼拉以及美国首都华盛顿。目前,她在加拿大的蒙特利尔,作为一名专业顾问为一些建筑及城市类出版物撰稿

Odile Hénault, who was trained as an architect in Halifax, Nova Scotia, has had a multifaceted career during which she worked as an architect, critic, editor, curator, teacher and professional advisor. She was elected President of Québec’s provincial architects association (OAQ) in 1994 and was instrumental in setting the institutional framework that led to numerous architectural competitions in Québec from 1990 to 2005.
Ms Hénault is a well known commentator of the architectural scene, having written on architecture and design in a number of newspapers and specialized magazines. In 1983, she founded Section a, one of Canada’s best architectural magazines, which she single-handedly produced until 1986. Among other commitments, she was appointed by the Québec government in the early nineties to work on Québec’s Public Art Program.
Odile Hénault, who has since lived and worked in a number of cities around the world, namely Barcelona (Spain), Bogotá (Columbia), Manila (Philippines) and Washington, DC (USA), is now based in Montréal, Canada, where she works as a professional advisor and writes on architectural and urban issues.
